Barbara Venezio

Barbara Ann Venezio, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Richard Rosenthal Hospice. Born August 10, 1930 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Agnes Lanick Molinari.
Barbara was a homemaker and a foster parent for over ten years, having eight foster children from 1965 to 1975.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Venezio; two sons, Anthony M. Venezio and his wife Un Cha; and Richard F. Venezio and his wife LouAnn; two grandsons, John S. and Justin Venezio; a great granddaughter, Emily N. Venezio; a sister, Dorothy Mennona all of Stamford; and a brother, John Molinari of Danbury.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony A. Venezio.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, April 2 from 5:00 �" 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 3 at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, 1029 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
