BEATRICE M. ZANNINO, 100, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed from this life peacefully on June 15, 2026 surrounded by her family. Born in Stamford on January 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Phoebe Knapp Waring. For most of her working years she was employed by Norma Hoffman Bearings Corporation (F.A.G. Bearings).

She was predeceased by her husband, Tony L. Zannino, her daughter Jo-Ann Langer, her son-in-law Gary DeSalvo (who was like a son to her) and by her nine siblings: William, George, Andrew, Edgar and Elizabeth (Ida) Waring, Caroline Wood, Emma Ahonen, Dorothy Czako and Florence Bell. Beatrice will lovingly be remembered by her children Joseph Zannino (Janice); James Zannino (Jerri) and Rose DeSalvo, as well as her nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The longtime matriarch of her family, Beatrice devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an integral part of each of their lives; each building a special and loving relationship with her in their own special way. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the way she always put family first.

A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Atlantic Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, in Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, June 21st from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
