Bibiano Malta

Bibiano G. Malta, 108, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2013 at Wilton Meadow Health Care Center with his loving family by his side. Bibiano was born in Mexico on December 2, 1904 to the late Filipo and Filipa Gomez Malta.
Bibiano has been a resident of Stamford since 1931 and worked for New York-New Haven-Hartford Railroad, Conde Nast Publishing and Capital Records as a Custodian. He was a loving, kind and gentle soul who loved fishing and gardening.
Bibiano is survived by his daughters; Linda Falco and her husband Patrick and June Green, both of Norwalk, his son; Philip Malta of Stamford, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren as well as several sisters and brothers in Mexico.
Besides his parents Bibiano is predeceased by his wife Mary H. Braccia Malta.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 9:20 AM on Friday September 13, 2013 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Bridget’s of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral on Thursday September 12, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
