Caesar �"Cheech” DeLeo, 85, died on Wednesday March 15, 2006 at St. Barnabus Hospital in Bronx, NY. Born in Italy on July 15, 1920 to the late Frank and Frances DiFilippo DeLeo, he was a lifelong Stamford resident.

He was a retired foreman for the DeLeo Brothers and was an Army veteran in World War II. He was an usher in St. Mary’s Church and an avid bowler and golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine DeLeo; a combined family of nine children, Sue Romano, Craig DeLeo, Patricia Stamitin, Debbie Sentementes, Gary Joss, Janet Conforti, Linda Martin, Jimmy Joss and Kim Serpa; twenty four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, John DeLeo; and two sisters, Rhoda Romano and Joy Howley.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a sister Ann Roberge.

A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday March 20, 2006 at 9:20 AM, and proceed to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday March 19, 2006 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. www.cognetta.com
