Carl W. Koch, 78, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008 at his home in Stamford. Born June 11, 1929 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late J. Walter and Dorothea Callahan Koch.

Carl was a retired employee of Union Carbide Corporation having worked in the accounting department. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean War as a naval pilot. He was an active member at the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford and a longtime member and leader of the Boy Scouts Troop 1.

Carl is survived by his three sons, Thomas W. Koch of Derry, NH; Stephen B. Koch of Redondo Beach, CA; and Edward �"Ted” D. Koch of Boise, Idaho; and a sister, Anne Nevins of Winchester, MA. Six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Byerly Koch.
