Charlie DeBattista, 62, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. Charlie was born in Stamford on December 6, 1951 to the late Joseph and Mary Savona DeBattista. Charlie was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 41 as well as the Cove Island Boat Club.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Lauren DeBattista of Stamford, his two daughters Mara DeBattista of Norwalk, and Korina Guerra and her husband Dave of Texas, his son Patrick DeBattista of Stamford, as well as his four grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Charlie is predeceased by his sister.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday July 10, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Cecilia RC Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. There will be no calling hours and internment will be private. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT is honored to assist the DeBattista family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, 461 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT 06906.
