Carmela (Millie) Sileo, 86, of Stamford passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on, Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She was born in New Rochelle, NY on May 2, 1930 to the late Benedetta and Vincenzo Lovallo.
Carmela is survived by her loving son Peter J. Sileo Jr., two stepsons Charles S. Sileo, Joseph L. Sileo of Indiana, stepdaughter Louis Joy Sileo-Henry and her husband Tom of San Fransico, CA, her three grandchildren Charles Michael Sileo, Ashley Henry and Crystal Marie Sileo, as well as her two sisters Katherine Januzzi of Larchmont, NY and Patricia Isabelle Hudson of Norwalk, CT. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Carmela was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Sileo, Sr., her brothers Anthony and Pasquale Lovallo, and sister Mary Agidi.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate at Church of St. Cecilia’s, Newfield Ave., Stamford, Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday September 30, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
