Carmela Vozzella

Carmela Vozzella, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Born in San Mango Sul, Calore, Italy on June 20, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Caterina Sarni Vozzella.
Carmella worked as an Assembler for various companies before her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Antonio Vozzella of Stamford; three daughters, Concetta Milone of Stamford; Clara Lombardi of Wilton; and Enza Pirri of Wilton; and a brother, Antonio Vozzella of San Mango Sul, Calore, Italy. Eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe; a daughter, Viola Bird; a son, Michael Vozzella; a brother, Teodoro Vozzella; and a sister, Concetta Cartwright.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on (TODAY) Friday, August 1 from 47 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:20 AM on Saturday, August 2 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.
