Carol Gallagher

Carol-Ann Louise Gallagher, age 45, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2013 at New York Presbyterian Hospital with her loving family at her bedside. She was born May 18, 1968 and raised in Stamford, graduating in 1986 from J.M. Wright Technical school.
She is survived by her husband James P. Gallagher Jr. of Stamford, CT, her daughters, Rose and Tessa Gallagher of Stamford, CT, brothers John Ponticello and Alfred (Debbie) Ponticello of Stamford, CT, Brian (Melissa) Ponticello of Homer, NY, sister Janette (Tim) Yowpa of Washington, DC, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Clara Ponticello of Stamford, CT.
Carol worked for Syl-Mays Pharmacy of Stamford, Boswell’s Pharmacy of Greenwich, and was also employed for many years at the Lancome counter at Lord & Taylor of Stamford. Carol was a devoted mother and homemaker who had a feisty spirit and sharp wit combined with a caring and giving soul; she left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her.
Family and friends may call at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT, on Friday, November 29, 2013, 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dr. Douglas A. McArthur officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Ave, Stamford.
