Carol Anne Woerz, 72, of New Canaan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital. She was born in New York City on October 23, 1944 to the late John and Mary Carbone DiCiancia.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Henry Woerz of New Canaan, three loving sons Craig Woerz and his wife Chrissy of New Canaan, Jeff Woerz and his wife Erin of Greenwich and Jason Woerz and his wife Meredith of New Canaan, as well as her grandchildren Whitney, Ashton, Sam, Kyler, Alex, Peyton and Carter.
Besides her parents, Carol was also predeceased by her beloved aunt, Anne Carbone.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 3:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 9:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
