Carolyn D'Arinzo

Carolyn V. D’Arinzo, 79 passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at her home in Wappingers Falls, NY. Born on May 9, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Phyllis Valentino Marcello. She was the wife of Patsy D’Arinzo, Sr. for 38 years. She was a resident of Stamford for 60 years before moving to New York.
Carolyn loved fortune telling and palm reading. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and always made sure that everyone was well fed.
Carolyn is survived by her children; her son, Pat D’Arinzo and his wife Suzanne of Darien, her daughters, Margaret Koziak and her husband Douglas of Shelton and Phyllis Dohmann and her partner Bill Oestmann of Stamford; her son, Anthony D’Arinzo and his partner Matt Alexander of Wappingers Falls, NY; her brother Anthony Marcello of Camden, NC; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford, CT. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 2:00-5:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carolyn’s name to the Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904.
