Catherine R. Carlo, 75, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Greenwich Hospital. Born December 17, 1930 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Bria Valerioti.
She was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Riverside.
She is survived by two sisters, Jean Valerioti of Riverside; and Elaenor Guerrieri of Old Greenwich; two step daughters, Justine Keane of Stamford; and Gail Davidson of Arizona/Cape Cod; a brother, Dominick Valerioti of Rochester, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John J. Carlo; and two brothers, George and William Valerioti.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, at 10:20 AM on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 and proceed to St. Catherine of Siena, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Marys RC Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 4:00 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to St. Catherine of Siena, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT 06878 or American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897. www.cognetta.com
