Catherine Gesualdi

Catherine Gesualdi, 79 of Stamford, passed away peacefully Monday, February 8, 2010. Born on December 6, 1930 in Arena, Calabria, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Fortunata Pelli. She was the wife of the late John Gesualdi for 54 years, before he passed away in 2007.
Catherine worked for Ethel Allen, Lord & Taylors, and Saks Fifth Avenue in Stamford.
She is survived by her son, Louis J. Gesualdi and a sister Mary Totilo, both of Stamford. Several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John ‘s Cemetery Mausoleum in Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Catherine’s honor to aid the victims in Haiti, via the American Red Cross, Connecticut Chapter, 209 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06032, www.redcross.org.
