Celeste Vasone

Celeste Gloria Vasone, 71, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Rochester, New York on March 31, 1938, daughter of the late Sam and Celeste Diamond Garzanetti.
She was employed as a secretary for Hickey-Freeman Clothier for 17 years before retiring in 1976.
Celeste is survived by her husband, Bruno V. Vasone of Stamford; a brother-in-law, Albino Vasone and his wife Ursula of Weeki Wachi, Florida; five nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews on the Vasone side; a sister-in-law, Rose DeVito and her husband Anthony of Darien; four nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews on the DeVito side.
In addition to Celeste’s parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Victoria Stoud.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, Connecticut, 06902 on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 4:00-8:00PM with a service to be held at 7:30PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 11:30AM at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
