Charles Andrew Mailhot, 77, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Born on April 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Erkel and Helen Smith Mailhot.

Charles worked for Pitney Bowes as a Draftsman Engineer for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. He was a member of the Glenbrook Athletic Club, an active golf player and was a member of the �"Has Beens” Golf Club. He played tennis, platform tennis and he loved to hike.

Charles leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Helen; two daughters, Patricia A. Hamilton of Norwalk and Holly D. Uva of Stamford; a son Robert C. & his wife Bonnie J. Mailhot of Darien; two brothers, Tommy Mailhot of California and Edward & his wife Shirley Mailhot of Stamford; a sister, Virginia Morris of Darien; four grandchildren, Jessica L. Dalziel, Kathleen H. Uva, Ashley M. Mailhot & Danielle R. Mailhot; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Verderosa and Jackie Waterbury.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, March 15 from 3-7 PM.

A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, March 16 at 10:20 AM and proceed to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bedford Street, where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with the Reverend David Van Dyke officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park.
