Charles Ryf

Charles Ryf, 62, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009. Born March 30, 1947 in Mineola, NY, he was the son of the late Charles “Chap” and Elsie Schneider Ryf.
For forty years, Charles was a Production Manager for a number of book publishers in and near New York City. He most recently worked at Barnes & Noble/Sterling.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Hazlett Ryf of Stamford; two sisters, Lynne Frohmiller and her husband Richard of Wallkill, NY; and Edythe Buglione of Southlake, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, September 1 from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:20 AM on Wednesday, September 2 and proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, PO Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492-1822 or the Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904.
