Christine Jean-Marie Boursiquot, 77, passed away at her home in Stamford on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Born June 10, 1932 in Lavalle de Jacmel, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Olivena Leclerc Jean-Marie.
Christine was a loving mother and loved cooking, entertaining, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a devoted catholic and a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist RC Church in Stamford.
She is survived by her husband, Martinez Boursiquot; three daughters; Marie Michelle Chery and family; Marie Carmelle Boursiquot and family; and Mirianne Lafleur and family all of Stamford; two sons: Pierrot Boursiquot and family of North Attleboro, MA; and Mario Boursiquot and family of Stratford; three sisters: Camille, Carmen and Clelia; and two brothers: Claudy and wife; and Clebert Jean-Marie. Five in-laws: Odette, Alice and husband, Raymonde and husband, Robert and wife and Joel and wife; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Jean Mahot, Nicholas and Frederick Jean-Marie.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, August 7 from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Saturday, August 8 and proceed to St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Atlantic Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Camp Avenue, Darien.
