Christine Guarino Gallace, 96, passed away peacefully with her beloved daughter, RoseMarie Gallace, by her side on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born April 11, 1913 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michelangelo and Gaetana Vecchia Guarino.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco Anthony Gallace in 1970.
Besides her daughter Rose Marie of Stamford, survivors include a sister, Carmelina Piscatelli of Long Island, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Anne Pandone; Margaret Cuocco; and Mary Guarino; and two brothers, Michael and Anthony Guarino.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, October 15 from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:10 AM on Friday, October 16 and proceed to the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
