Christine Vitti
April 28, 1964 — December 3, 2012
Christine Dupuy Vitti, 48, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2012 with her loving family by her side after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Christine was born on April 28, 1964 in New Bedford, MA to Ana Clarimundo-Paulo and her late father Roger Dupuy.
Besides her mother Christine is survived by her loving husband Captain Joseph J. Vitti, Jr. of the Stamford Fire Department, her dear children Stephanie and Nicholas of Stratford, her stepson Joseph III of Stamford, her brother Pierre and his wife Eva, of Stratford, her sister Claudia and her brother Armand, both of New Bedford, MA.
Other survivors include her mother-in-law Betty, brothers and sisters-in-law Mickey and Lynn, Richie and Nicole, Ronnie and Joanne and several nieces and nephews. Chris was also predeceased by her father-in-law Fire Chief Joseph J. Vitti.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT on Wednesday December 5, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15AM on Thursday December 6, 2012 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Mary RC Church, 556 Elm Street, Stamford, CT. Interment will be private.
