Civita Zasa Rasile, 87, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Friday October 19, 2012. She was born on October 21, 1924 in Minturno, Italy to the late Saverio and Maria Saltarelli-Zasa. Civita was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, a great cook, always wanted the best for her family and friends, and she always kept the peace.
Civita is survived by her three daughters, Maria Rasile Trudo of Norwalk, Anna and Antonio Aniello of Stamford, and Lucia Rasile Bongiorno of Stamford; three sons, Sandro and Silvia Rasile of Stamford, Antonio Rasile of Stamford, and Severino Rasile of Stamford; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Besides her parents Civita is predeceased by her loving husband Celestino Ernesto Rasile, two sisters; Assunta Pimpinella and Teresa Forte and three brothers; Antonio Zasa, Gerardo Zasa and Dominick Zasa.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 5:00-8:00PM. A funeral Procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:50AM, on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT, at 10:30AM. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 233 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT.
