Clementina D’Ademo, 96, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born in Stamford on January 11, 1929 to the late John and Sarah Esposito Valentine.
Clementina was born in the same year the stock market crashed and was a darling child of six siblings and helped her family, with her presence, get through The Great Depression. She began working at 13 years old at St. Joseph’s hospital in Stamford and also The Toy Chest before working for GE Capital for 35 years, and took care of her husband, Joseph, for 15 years. She ended her career at her daughter’s day care for 10 years. She was famous for her Valentine cake and also served her relatives Sunday pasta dinner for 20 years. She loved everyone and everyone loved her, she always had a smile on her face and enjoyed life, as well as always impeccably dressed.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Diamo and his wife Marilyn Reis and Cathy Wuchiski and her husband Dennis, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Clementina was predeceased by her husband, Joseph D’Ademo in 2005, four brothers, Louis, Joseph, John and Michael Valentine and sister, Antoinette Demingway.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will be held privately. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
