Clorinda Iantorno, 102, a longtime resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Stamford Hospital. Clorinda was born on September 2, 1915, in Montalto Cosenza, Italy, daughter of the late Francesco and Emelia La’Valle Giardino.
Clorinda was an avid gardener, everything she ate was from her own garden. She greatly enjoyed baking and sewing, most of all she loved spending time with her family especially on the holidays.
Clorinda is survived by her sons, Joseph Iantorno and his wife Pina of Stamford, and Adam Iantorno and his wife Rose of Shelton. Her six grandchildren Kari of Shelton, Lisa, Dora and John of Stamford, Clora and Daniela of Italy. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with many cousins and lifetime friends.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her beloved husband Giovanni “John” Iantorno, and her two sons, Vincent and Fabio Iantorno.

Family and Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902, on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM a Prayer Service will then be held at the funeral home at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
