Connie entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 25th embraced by the Lord’s peace. Born on December 11, 1926, in Chiaromonte, Potenza, Italy, Connie carried her Italian roots proudly throughout her life, keeping faith, family, and tradition at the heart of everything she did. These values became the foundation of a beautiful life filled with meaning, purpose, and love.

She was the proud and devoted mother of five children, loving Nana to fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. To Connie her family was the heart of the home. She was the keeper of traditions, the guide, the nurturer, and the steady source of strength and comfort. Our prayer warrior

Connie worked for many years at the Stamford Teachers Credit Union, where she was known for her kindness, grace, and gentle spirit. She treated all with respect, warmth, and sincerity, leaving lasting impressions on colleagues and members alike.

At home, Connie’s hospitality was unmatched. Her kitchen was always open, her table always full, and her heart always welcoming. She became “Mom” to everyone who entered her home. Whether through a comforting meal, a listening ear, or a simple hug, Connie nourished both body and soul. Decorating her home for holidays and the fall brought Connie much joy. Her holiday celebrations—rooted in faith, family, food, games and cherished Italian traditions—were legendary and are now treasured memories and traditions carried on by her family.

Connie was well known for her biscottis. She made hundreds of dozens for St Maurice’s cookie fundraisers and her pizzas were everyone’s favorite. She expressed her love through everything she created. She was a member of the Goodwives Quilters in Darien for many years. Her quilts, stitched with prayer and perfection wrapped her family in the same warmth she always gave through her presence.

Her Catholic faith guided her life. She lived the Gospel not only in words, but in action—through service, kindness, forgiveness, and love. She treated everyone she met with respect. Her family takes comfort knowing she is now resting in the eternal arms of Jesus reunited with loved ones who went before her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 29, 10 AM at St Maurice Church located at 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT 06907.

Entombment will be at St. John’s Cemetery 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT 06820.
