David Muniz, 59, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Stamford Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1957 in Aricebo, Puerto Rico to the late Esteban Muniz and Filomena Mendez.
David was an auto mechanic for many years for various car dealerships in Stamford.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Deborah, three sons, David, Michael and Jason, five sisters, Carmen, Irma, Elsa, Mirta and Mary and a brother Enrique, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by a sister, Minerva and two brothers, Noel and Victor.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 AM, and then proceed to St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 39105
