Dea Spremullo

Dea Spremullo, 83, died on Monday May 1, 2006 at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence. She was born in New York City on August 28, 1922 to the late Annibale and Mary Calcagno Arecco.
She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary RC Church and a member of the Rosary Society. She was a member of St. Marys and St. Leos Seniors groups and was Mother of the Parish in 1997.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Gary P. Spremullo and his wife Carol E. Spremullo of Warwick, RI; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Spremullo of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, Gary C. Spremullo, Kristen A. Cassady, Scott Spremullo, Audra DiBacco, Liane Spremullo; and six great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Spremullo; a son, Mark A. Spremullo; and a brother Leo Arecco.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday May 5, 2006 at 9:20 AM and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will then follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday May 4, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM.
