Denise Anne Varley, 64, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at Stamford Hospital. She was born in New York City to the late Gilbert and Anne Koncelik Crep.
Denise lived compassionately, surrounded by her friends and family. She selflessly devoted herself to everyone she loved. Denise’s infectious smile and magnetic personality will be missed dearly by everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving husband Edward A. Varley , her loving daughters Jennifer V. Guinta and her husband David G., Meghan M. Varley and Lindsay V. Velez & her husband Julian all of Stamford; two sisters Dianne Medina and her husband Edwin and Karen Perez all of Flushing, NY and her two grandchildren Charles Edward and Cathleen Anne Guinta.
Denise worked as an Office Manager for Tennis Europe in Stamford for twenty years.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:20 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Denise’s memory to The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904.
