Dominick Franco Sr
March 5, 1935 — May 27, 2015
Dominick D. Franco, Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Stamford and 60 year business owner of Franco Gardens, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Stamford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Dominick was born in Stamford on March 5, 1935 to the late Frank and Susan Casolo Franco.
Dominick is survived by his daughter Kristyn LeFebvre and her husband Michael of Fairfield, his son Dominick D. Franco, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Norwalk, his twin daughters Susan Lionetti and her husband Ted of Stamford and Dana Feinauer and her husband John of Cheshire. His sister Rae Salvaggio and her husband Joe, his brother Angelo Franco and his wife Toni and his sister Margaret Bohrer, as well as, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, Dominick is predeceased by his wife Diana Franco-Abbate and his son Gary Franco.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT at 8:45AM on Monday June 1, 2015 and proceed to The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday May 30, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00PM.
