Dominick Ralph Stramandinoli, 60, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2008. Born on May 10, 1948, in Arena, Italy, he was the son of the late Bruno and Maria Caterina Ida Stramandinoli.

Dominick was a resident of Stamford for 54 years. He was a graduate of Stamford High School 1967 and a J.M. Wright Tech post graduate. He worked at Perkin Elmer for 27 years and at Norwalk Hospital for 6 years as a plumber. Dominick was a supporter of Parents & Friends of Lower Fairfield Regional Center, where his son resides. He was a proud member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge Number 879. He was a coach in service for the Special Olympics and coached golf for Challenged People in Motion and the PRO Challenge. Dominick was a committed member of St. Maurice Church for over 30 years where he served as an usher and most recently as a member of the Social Activities Committee until his illness.

Dominick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cynthia Bouton Stramandinoli of Stamford; a daughter, Lieutenant Lori-Ann & son-in-law Lieutenant Chris Conlon of California; a son, Bruno Stramandinoli of Norwalk; two sisters, Caterina & Gerardo Montero and Teresa Grace Vartuli, both of Stamford; a mother-in-law, Lorraine Spenard Bouton of Stamford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim & Deborah Procaccini of Trumbull and Frank & Marianne Sileo of Milford; two brothers-in-law, Robert Bouton of Stamford and Mike Sansone of Las Vegas; two grandchildren, Liam and Alexandra Conlon; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Mark Edward Stramandinoli and a sister, Rose Sansone.

A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, on Tuesday, December 2, at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, December 1 from 4-8 PM.
