Donald G. Lynn, Sr., 77 of Stamford passed away on Tues. April 11, 2006.
Born in Norwalk Jan. 29, 1929 he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Potmesil Lynn.
Mr. Lynn was the owner of the former Lynn Graphics Inc. until his retirement in 1997. Following his retirement he was a Park Ambassador and trolley car operator for the Stamford Parks Dept. at Cove Island Park.
He was a member of the U.S. Army 301st Radio Broadcast and Leaflet Division during the Korean War. Mr. Lynn was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Stamford, and a longtime member of St. Marys RC Church in Stamford.
Survivors include four daughters Annie Lynn Maio of Stamford, Susan Lynn Mandeville and her husband Christopher of Stamford, Peggy Lynn and Mary E. Lynn both of Norwalk, a son Donald G. Lynn Jr. of Stamford, a brother Edward B. Lynn and his wife Siri of Stamford. A Grandson Patrick H. Mandeville of Stamford and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents Mr. Lynn was predeceased by his wife Ann McKee Lynn in 1996.
A Funeral Procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Tues. April 18, 2006 at 9:20AM and proceed to St. Marys RC Church 566 Elm St. Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Rd. Stamford.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home Monday April 17, 2006 from 4-8 PM.
