Dorothea Erdelyi

Dorothea Wattenberg Erdelyi, 80, of Norwalk passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 2, 2016. She was born in Minden, Germany on December 13, 1935 to the late Friedrich and Frieda Eickhoff Wattenberg.
Dorothea was an Executive Assistant at Beiersdorf in Wilton, CT for fifteen years.
She is survived by her dearest friend Ilona Etlenyi of Stamford and a nephew and a niece.
Besides her parents, Dorothea was predeceased by her husband Paul G. Erdelyi.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Avenue, Stamford at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Germany at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Erdelyi family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dorothea’s memory to The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904
