Dorothy Deluca

Dorothy R. DeLuca, 92, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born in Stamford on May 22, 1928 to the late Peter P. and Rose DeNicola Conetta.
Dorothy was a Travel Agent at Cappabianca Travel and Robustelli Travel, then completing her career at Air, Land & Sea Travel Agency. She was a loving grandmother to her grandsons, Mark and Jesse. Dorothy had fought valiantly against the disease of diabetes for the last 28 years, and was passionate about helping others manage life with diabetes.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Douglas DeLuca, Marlene Bicchieri and her husband Anthony and Robert P. DeLuca and his wife Anja, two grandsons; Jesse and Marc DeLuca and their mother; Heidi DeLuca and Dorothy’s brother and sister-in-law; Peter and Vites Conetta.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was also predeceased by her husband Robert C. “Gabe” DeLuca in 2018.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Parsonage Road, Greenwich.
