Dorothy Meehan

Dorothy Judge Meehan, 98, a resident of Stamford and Darien passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at Stamford Hospital. Born in Stamford on November 7, 1913 to the late Vincent and Teresa Palmer Pecoraro. She was one of nine children.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary daily.
Dorothy is survived by her beloved children Charles and Tina Judge of Darien, CT and Dorothy Mead, Patricia and Eugene Harris, Edward and Mary V. Judge and daughter in laws Mary M. Judge and Diane Judge all of Stamford.
She is survived by her fifteen grandchildren; Deborah Danielsen, Jeffrey Mead, Tracy Mead, James and Robin Judge, Donna and Andrew Manjuck, David and Margaret Judge, Michael and Tina Harris, Kim and John Maloney, Robert and Sandra Judge, Elizabeth and Tye Allenbrand, Allison and Joseph Marotta, Lisa and Richard Cipri, Kristie, Cindy and Kelly Judge.
She is also survived by her twenty four great grandchildren; Edward and Richard Danielson, Natacha Plunkett, Ashley, Ryan and Anna Judge, Andrew, Mark, Sarah, Matthew, Christopher and Kimberly Manjuck, Jennifer and Stacy Harris, Patrick and Samantha Maloney, Milena Judge, Jennifer and Jake Webb, Jaxson Allenbrand, Alyssa and Olivia Marotta, Brian and Matthew Cipri.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of forty two years Alfred L. Judge, Sr. and her second husband of twelve years Earl Meehan and her sons James V. Judge and Alfred L. Judge, Jr., as well as her siblings Nellie Manning, Eleanor Charlesworth, Eva Lynch, Mary Ubaldo, Rose McNerney, James Pecoraro and Dr. Charles Pecoraro.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
