Dorothy Pastore

Dorothy C. Pastore, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 07, 2018 at the Sunrise of Stamford. She was born on October 24, 1929 in Stamford, daughter of the late George and Margaret Sanislo Flanagan.
Dorothy was a resident of North Stamford for many years and most recently Sunrise of Stamford. She was employed as a bookkeeper for over forty years by Pitney Bowes. She was a proud member of the Italian Center of Stamford Women’s Auxiliary and the Hubbard Heights Women’s Golf Association.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted daughter Lyn Pastore Chatham of Newtown, CT and her cherished grandchildren, granddaughter Christine Chatham of Norwalk, CT Grandson Thomas Russell Chatham and his wife Jenny Gill Chatham of Holly Springs, NC. Great grandchildren Jack, Harper and Becket Chatham of Holly Springs, NC. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Flanagan of Norwalk, CT, and a sister-in-law Karen Pastore of Trumbull, CT.
Besides her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas James Pastore, her brother William George Flanagan, and her sister Margaret Flanagan McFall.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on the morning of Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon. A procession will follow to St. John’s RC Cemetery of Darien, for Interment.
