Edith L. Saunders, 98, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Smith House in Stamford. Born August 3, 1909 in Cos Cob, CT, she was the daughter of the late Edward Y. and Martha Smith Marshall.
Edith was a retired employee for Olin Corporation in Stamford. She was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Riverside.
She is survived by her great niece, Linda Ligi of Stamford; a niece, Helen Keeley of Stamford; and a great niece, Barbara McCarty of Rhode Island.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Saunders.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 9:00 10:00 AM. A service will then be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Eugene McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Stamford.
