Edward J. Condon

Edward J. Condon, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at his home in Stamford. Born August 29, 1925 in Stamford, he was the son of the late James and Mildred Murtha Condon.
He was a retired Business Manager for the Parks Department in the City of Stamford. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII on the USS Virgo. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club for forty-five years. He enjoyed golf, and skeet/trap shooting.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Condon and his wife, Linda; and Edward Condon and his wife, Theresa; a daughter, Patricia A. Zurzola and her husband, Mark; and a brother, John Condon, all of Stamford. Five grandchildren, Thomas, Robert, Michael, Alicia, and Matthew also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Anna (Thomas) Condon.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2006 and proceed to Church of St. Cecelia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Stamford.
