Ekaterini Perdikis
February 12, 1924 — September 10, 2016
Ekaterini “Katina” Perdikis, 92, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the village of Pellana, Sparta, Greece on February 12, 1924 to the late Konstantinos and Vasiliki Mahairas.
Katina was a former employee of Pitney Bowes, along with her husband Christos. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and gardening, as her home was filled, both inside and out with plants. She was also a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and participated in the Ladies Philoptochos Society, as she was very devoted to her faith and inspired her children to do the same. Katina was also a very patriotic woman, having deep devotion to her home country of Greece.
She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty years, Christos Perdikis of Stamford, her loving children Kostas Perdikis of Stamford, Ilias Perdikis and his wife Ourania of Stamford, a brother Stavros Mahairas and his wife Konstantina of Athens, Greece, as well as her only beloved and favorite grandson, Christos Perdikis. Also surviving is a brother in law Costas Perdikes and his wife Voula and sister in law Anna Mihalopoulos and her husband Peter, along with many nieces, nephews and relatives.
Besides her parents, Katina was predeceased by her brothers Dimitris and Panagiotis Mahairas.

Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 9:30 AM for a funeral service to be celebrated at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Avenue, Stamford at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a Trisagion service to be celebrated at 7:00 PM.
