Eleanor Glass Moe, 78, a life-long resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 with her family by her side. Born in New York City on November 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John H. Glass and Catherine Keegan Glass.

She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy of Stamford in 1946 and married in 1948. She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devout Catholic, and was particularly fond of the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved antiques and collectibles and worked many years in the antique business. She was also a long-time member of the Queen Anne Doll Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, stimulating conversations and tending to her flower gardens. She was an avid reader and embraced life’s �"simple” pleasures. She will be remembered for her big smile, her funny stories, her engaging personality and her generous heart.

She is survived by her six children, Marjorie Levin; Renee Moe; Elizabeth Halper; Arthur Thaddeus Moe; Anne Palumbo; and James G. Moe; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother; her sister; and her husband of fifty-nine years, Arthur Raymond Moe.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 11, 2006 at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions are made in Eleanor’s name to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, P.O.
