Elizabeth Bryson
November 29, 1933 — December 30, 2018
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Bryson, 85 of Stamford, CT and Londonderry, VT passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1933 in Stamford to the late Charles and Virginia Johnson. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert D. “Bob” Bryson and her beloved son Drew (Moira) Bryson and cherished daughters Ginny (Dave) Misavage, Ann Sullivan, Laura Bryson and a son in law William Sullivan. Betty was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Mary, Patrick, Stephen, Harrison, Graham, Reid and Matt. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Robert Johnson as well as her adored son Matthew K. Bryson.
She was a graduate of Cazenovia College and was employed by several schools throughout the Stamford community. Her heart was dedicated to helping people with special needs including volunteering for the Special Olympics for over 40 years. Betty also volunteered at ARI and the Londonderry Schools. In retirement, Betty and Bob enjoyed traveling the world together.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church located at 1101 Bedford Street, Stamford. Interment will be private.
