Elizabeth Covello

Elizabeth Covello, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born March 8, 1929 in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Burns Murray.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY, Class of 1950. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, and a member of their Bible Group. She was also a member of the Christian Family Movement. Elizabeth was employed with G.E. Credit as a sales representative for fourteen years, until her retirement in 1992.
She is survived by her husband, Peter A. Covello of Stamford; a daughter, Patricia and her husband Michael Gloster of Atlanta, GA; six sons, Peter Michael and his wife Mary Covello of Bolton, CT; Thomas and his wife Joan Covello of Beacon Falls; Philip Covello of Norwalk; Mark Covello of Norwalk; John Covello of Bridgeport; and Joseph Covello of Stamford; a sister, Virginia and her husband David Kingsbury of Washington DC; and a brother, Joseph Murray Escandito, CA. Eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jamie, Ryan, Bill, Elyse, Christopher, Matthew, and Kaitlin; and one great grandchild, Roger, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Murray.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, February 1, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Friday, February 2, 2007 and proceed to Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
