Elizabeth Harvey
August 22, 1958 — October 12, 2024
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Rose Harvey (Liz) on October 12, 2024, at the Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut.
Liz was born on August 22, 1958, in the Bronx, New York and spent her professional life in publishing as an editor. She began her career at Billboard magazine and then moved into medical editing.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Adelphi University and her Master’s degree from Lehigh University. Liz was a wonderful friend. She loved to take pictures and was an excellent photographer, a hobby she shared with her beloved father. Liz enjoyed music, theater and anything NYC.
She is survived by her life partner, Sharon Fornaciari of Stamford, CT; her brother, Robert Harvey, of Ormand Beach, Florida and her niece and nephew, Emily and William Harvey of New Hampshire. Liz was predeceased by her parents, Robert Harvey and Dorothy Dobrovszki Harvey.
As an organ donor and consistent with her wishes, her lungs, kidneys, and liver were donated for transplant. She also requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospicare, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, New York, 14850.
A memorial service will be held on October 26th at 11:00 am at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 20 Forest Street, Stamford, Connecticut.
