Elizabeth Ann (Hill) Lotz, 66 of Stamford, born in Sharon, CT on Aug. 1, 1939 passed away on Friday April 7, 2006. She was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Haughey Hill.

Lovingly known as Bea, Aunt Bea, Betty, Betty Ann, and Liz, she was a beloved sister, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Lotz was a life-long resident of Stamford and attended Stamford Public Schools.

Her first job was with Royal Typewriter. After taking time off to raise her three children, she went back to work and was employed at various jobs before retiring from A & P Food Emporium in Riverside, CT. She enjoyed long rides through the country, reading, crossword puzzles, old television shows, picking lilacs and spending time with her family. She was a life-long sports fan and an avid Yankee fan.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Lotz and his wife June Caporizzo Lotz of Stamford and Michael Lotz of Stamford, one daughter Donna Lotz of Newtown, Conn., one brother James Hill and his wife Kathy Hill of Palm Harbor, FL. Three grandaughters, Mallory and Amanda Lotz of Stamford and Justice Lotz of Greenwich, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents Elizabeth was predeceased by her longtime companion Richard Greene.

The family will receive friends at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Mon. April 10, 2006 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tues. April 11, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Rd., Stamford.
