Ella Arruzza
March 20, 1921 — August 27, 2013
Ella Anne Arruzza, 92, of Ansonia and a former resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Griffin Hospital. She was born in Stamford on March 20, 1921 to the late Andrew and Barbara Bodnar Ranhosky.
Ella worked for 15 years with Microphase Corp. of Riverside/Norwalk as a Senior Electronics Fabricator and Lead Technician. She ended her career in 1983 working with women fashions at Lord & Taylor. She was an accomplished seamstress for many years and also had a passion for cooking and baking.
She is survived by her loving sons David M. Arruzza and his wife Nancy of Ansonia, Richard C. Arruzza and his wife Carmen of Stamford , four grandchildren Holly, Ryan, Kristen and David,and her great granddaughter Emma.
Besides her parents, Ella was predeceased by her husband Ralph D. Arruzza.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien at 11:00 AM.
