Emily Turturino
December 3, 1926 — February 11, 2014
Emily Turturino, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Emily was a longtime resident of Stamford, born on December 3, 1926 to the late John and Rose Dec Ciolek.
Emily was a graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1945. She was a loving and caring mother, and a grandmother who unconditionally loved her children and grandchildren. Emily greatly enjoyed reading and traveling.
Emily is survived by her daughters Linda Farris of Darien, Christina Strain and husband Edward all of Stamford, her son Mark J. Turturino and wife Linda of Port Chester, NY., and her cherished grandchildren Ashley and Eric Strain, of Stamford. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Emily is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph F. Turturino, her two sisters Florence Tillot, and Jane Fields also predecease her.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Emily’s life will be held at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford, CT on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
