Ercolina Agliardi

Ercolina J. Agliardi, 96, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Regency House of Wallingford. She was born in Italy on September 2, 1922 to the late Prospero and Maria Deregibus Antoniotti.
Ercolina was a co-owner of Armando’s Restaurant in Stamford, along with her late husband Armand for many years.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Hyland and her husband Edward of Punta Gorda, FL, her son-in-law Albert Mellina, and his wife Filomena of Port Jefferson, NY, her six grandchildren, Robert Mellina of Old Bethpage, NY, Edward Mellina and his wife Nancy of Garden City, NY and Adrienne DeVos and her husband Michael Wenger of Hamden, CT, Steven Hyland and his wife Martha of Trumbull, CT, Deborah Hyland and her husband Robert Perron of Lancaster, MA, David Hyland of Douglas, MA as well as nine great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Ercolina was predeceased by her husband, Armand F. Agliardi in 2004 and her daughter Arlene Mellina.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
