Ernest A. Gans, 83, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2009, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Born in Dortmund, Germany, on July 10, 1925, he was the son of the late Paul and Meta Hoffman Gans.
Ernest is survived by his wife Beilla Kahn Gans; two daughters, Rosalind Rubin & her husband Mitchell of Stamford and Barbara Ferguson & her husband Chip of Virginia; and three grandchildren, Arielle, Amitan & Keren Rubin.
A funeral service will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:00 AM with the Rabbi Marc Disick officiating. Interment will be private. www.cognetta.com
