Eugene Dipaola

Eugene Francis DiPaola, 90, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 27, 1924 to the late Anthony and Lucy Parente DiPaola.
Eugene was employed as an Architect at Schunkewitz and Partners, Madison Avenue, New York for twenty years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Clement’s RC Church of Stamford and was also a veteran of WW II, having served in the US Army Air Corp.
He is survived by his loving sons Eugene F. DiPaola and his wife Eileen of New York City, Damian DiPaola and Robert A. DiPaola both of Sea Cliff, NY, a sister Mary Ann F. DiPaola of New Hyde Park, NY, a brother Donald DiPaola of Seattle, WA, as well as two grandsons Robert and Lorenzo DiPaola.
Besides his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his former wife Ann Mary Hartter, two sisters, Lucille Bonnesen, Delores DiPaola and two brothers Anthony and Robert DiPaola.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday September 23, 2015 at 10:20AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Clement’s RC Church, 535 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will take place privately at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday September 22, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
