Eugene Edward Kapteina

Eugene Edward Kapteina, 79, of Stamford passed away at Stamford Hospital on Tues. Feb. 27, 2007.
Born in Stamford July 7, 1927 he was the son of the late Frank and Kazimiera Kapteina.
Mr. Kapteina was an Assembler at Pitney Bowes having retired after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Pitney Bowes Golden Oldies and the Pitney Bowes Oval Club.
Survivors include his wife Gloria N. Interlandi Kapteina, two sisters Julia Holt and Helen Onley, a brother Valentine Kapteina and his wife Irene, and a sister-in-law Antoinette Kapteina, all of Stamford. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Hill, and four brothers Joseph, Henry, Sidney and John Kapteina.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Sat. March 3, 2007 from 9AM to 10AM. A Funeral Procession will then leave and proceed to St. Marys RC Church 566 Elm St. Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery Darien, CT.
