Eugenie E. Scarano

Eugenie E. Scarano, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born September 6, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ann Czerwinski.
Eugenie was a retired employee of Pitney Bowes in the Purchasing Department for twenty five years.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Preston and her husband William of Stamford; two sons, Joseph J. Scarano and his wife Elsie of California; and Thomas S. Scarano and his wife Melinda of Arlington, VA; seven beloved grandchildren, Lori Tiani-Marrone and her husband Vin of Milford; Charlene Tiani and her husband Scott of California; David Tiani and his wife Amy of Norwalk; Joseph Scarano, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Texas, Amanda Scarano of California; and Jeffrey Scarano and his wife Lara of West Virginia. A niece, Joan Kovacs and her husband Robert of Florida; and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Scarano; and a sister, Angela Jankowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 9 at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien. There will be no calling hours.
