Evelyn M. Russo

Evelyn M. Russo, a lifelong Stamford resident, entered into peaceful rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Born April 3, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Marguerite Cippolla Frasca.
Evelyn held the position of General Forelady at Norma-FAG Bearing Corporation and retired in 1975 after 40 years of service. In her retirement years, Evelyn was a member of various senior groups including Stamford AARP, St. Gabriels Senior Circle and St. Benedicts Senior Club.
She is survived by her son, James M. Russo of Sun City Center, FL; grandchildren, Kathy Mack of Stamford; Mary Beth Minch of Sarasota, FL; Jay Russo of Scarborough, ME; eight great-grandchildren, and a number of relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James John Russo; daughter-in-law, Margaret J. Russo; and infant granddaughter, Amy.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, May 30 from 5:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Saturday, May 31 and proceed to St. Gabriel Parish, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
