Filippo Lopreiato

Filippo Lopreiato, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born May 12, 1917 in Vibo Valentia, Italy he was the son of the late Francesco and Angelina Maesano Lopreiato.
Filippo was a retired employee of Pitney Bowes, having retired in 1982.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Lopreiato and his wife Ida of Stamford; and Domenico Lopreiato and his wife Stella of Norwalk; four grandchildren, Maria Graziella Lopreiato; Maria Francesca Lopreiato; Philip A. Lopreiato; and Filippo A. Lopreiato; and a sister, Franca Lopreiato of Vibo Valentia, Italy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maria Franze Lopreiato; two daughters, Angelina Lopreiato and Angelina Lopreiato; and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Friday, February 16, 2007 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Interment will then follow at St. Johns Mausoleum in Norwalk. www.cognetta.com
